Care Package brings back memories to times of where Drake was a much more sensitive soul and proves just have different his music has become and how it has shaped who he is now, as an artist. Drake processed his music through memory including tracks like 'Marvin's Room' with snippets of voicemails and never forgetting his roots with tracks like 'You and the 6'.
Listening to this compilations of old Drake songs reminds me that this isn't who he is anymore and in October he'll be 33 and long gone is the person he used to be. Care Package is a reminder that people change and grow and you can't compare someones past to their future or present. Drake's narrative has changed from being an emotional young man with lyrics 'I'm having trouble adjusting to fame' to now being one of the biggest hip hop artists in the world, including his most recent single Money in the Grave 'I was on top when that shit meant a lot, Still on top like I'm scared of the drop'.
Care Package proves that some songs can stand the test of time and there's nothing more to it.
