What Is The Apple Ecosystem?

You don’t know how its happened but all of a sudden you wake up and realise your knee deep in the Apple products. You may be wondering what is the Apple ecosystem? well it starts off with an innocent purchase of an iPhone.
Then you decide that it’s time for a new computer/laptop, so you go for a Mac.  The next thing you know you’re receiving your messages on both devices, phone calls, web browsing history. You can seamlessly move from one device to another.

This is the ecosystem.

According to Business Insider “One of the main draws of using Apple products is how well they work with each other. It feels seamless because everything you need is already built in; there’s no need to download or install anything”. Which is true, once you have one product, its really easy to get more. All thanks to one simple system - your iCloud account.

Although android also offer this ecosystem, it isn’t as consistent in delivery and seamless interface compared to Apple. Apple have managed to craft their technology that once you have one product, you’ll want to add to the collection. Especially with features like Airdrop, which allows you to transfer content from your iPhone to your Mac with one simple click. Or receiving phone calls on your computer when your phone is nowhere to be found, which means you never miss any important phone calls. Another feature is Apple pay, it makes online shopping a lot easier.

This is how Apple have managed to keep their customers, although they seem like small features in the bigger picture they’re the most important. Because who doesn’t like being able to write an idea on your phone and being able to expand it on your laptop. Although Apple’s sales have recently declined (especially with the iPhone) there are still things that keep you attached to the brand. Once you’re in, it’s hard to get out. Trust me, I know.
