Drake and Future What A Time To Be Alive: An Album Review

WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE? (am I right)
Who would've thought that in 2015 Drake and Future would hook up to create one of the coolest collaboration albums. Possibly even beating Kanye and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne.

No one can deny that 2015 has definitely been Drake's YEAR! from releasing his If you're reading this it's to late, to dissing (murdering) Meek Mill not once but twice; in 2 incredible tracks Charged up and Back to Back. Drake has become one of our generations voice of Hip hop and I couldn't be happier.

This week the collaborative album between Drake & Future has hit the number one top spot on the Billboard 200, they managed to push 375,000 units in the first week with 334,000 of those units being strictly sales. With it now being the second largest sale week for an album in 2015!

I've only heard the album maybe once or twice but I've got to say that I wasn't sure how to feel about this collaboration when it came out because I'm not a huge fan of Future. But he did pretty well on this album the tracks that stood out to me the most were:

  • Digital Dash
  • Big Rings
  • Jersey
  • Jumpman
but the truth is every songs a hit and its one of the very few albums where I feel I don't have to skip a song (which I find very difficult to do).

The OVO sound is all over these tracks and I love the cool and calm collected voices of both Drake and Future. Together they are on hell of a duo!
