Top 10 Songs You Should Jam To This Weekend

I've decided that each week I will be sharing the top 10 songs I've been listening to non-stop. It may be old, it may be new - who knows.

In no particular order, here is the top 10 songs I've been listening to this week.

BlocBoy JB & Drake - Look Alive

'Look alive' has been one of my favourite tracks since it came out. It's a tune that makes me feel super cool.

Best Lyric: "This fuckin' industry is cutthroat, I'm not the same, man // And I could let you check the tag, now, I'm rockin' name brand"

Drake - God's Plan

When 'God's Plan' came out along with 'Diplomatic Immunity' on Drake's 2 track 'Scary Hours EP' I knew it was going to be a hit. It's the type of track anyone can relate to, but also aspirational.

Best Lyric: "She say, "Do you love me?" I tell her, "Only partly" // I only love my bed and my momma, I'm sorry"

Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, Future, James Blake - King's Dead

'King's Dead' has becomes one of my favourite tracks on the Black Panther soundtrack album. The beat is so good to bop your head to and Future's part has to be the best/funniest verse on the track.

Best Lyric: "La di da di da, slob on me knob \\ Pass me some syrup, fuck me in the car"

Mabel ft. Kojo Funds - Finder's Keepers

I heard 'Finder's Keepers' a while ago but it's got me into listening to Mabel, who is a fantastic vocalist. I'm excited to watch her career grow.

Best Lyric: "Put your arms all around it // Take it now that you've found it // It don't need to be no deeper // It's finders keepers"

Tinashe ft. Offset - No Drama

Tinashe has to be one of the most under-rated artists of our generation, I am tired of people sleeping on her. 'No drama' is a bop that everyone should be listening to. Also the beat and verses are sick (in a good way).

Best Lyric: "We pulled up in Gucci, dripped down in Gabbana (drip, drip) // Bad as I wanna, only chasin' commas (woo, woo)"

Miguel ft. Travis Scott - Sky Walker

Everything Miguel does is great to be honest, but I hadn't given this song a chance until last week when it came on my spotify through a random playlist, and I'm so glad it did! I can't get enough of 'Sky Walker' it's a really fun and smooth track.

Best Lyric: "I'm Luke Skywalkin' on these haters (splish) // Celebrate every day like a birthday // Good things come to those that wait up (splish)"

Calvin Harris ft. Partynextdoor - Nuh Ready Nuh Ready

I'm not going to lie, I am not the biggest Calvin Harris fan but when you through in Partynextdoor I'm all ears. It's also Calvin's first track since his 2017 album 'Funk Wav Bounces Vol 1".

Best Lyric: "Don't make me feel like I love you // Just 'cause I thought you was special"

JHus - Bouff Daddy

The new king of grime JHus has come out with another banger. He's really out here doing the most and being the best at it. I actually didn't know what bouff meant until very recently - it means 'money'. Furthermore, the beat reminds me of Jamaican synths and it's great to dance to.

Best Lyric:  "Fuck probation, I'm chillin' overseas // Everything's different 'cause I'm free"

Ramz - Barking

I hadn't heard of Ramz until I heard this song and I've got to say it's a fantastic tune. His quick witty lyricism and funky beat makes him an artist that I want to listen to more.

Best Lyric: "I got a Portuguese ting, not wifey // She said my temper's tiny // I got two different worlds like Miley"

Brockhampton - Stupid

Brockhampton has become one of my favourite musical groups ever! known to the internet as the internets first boy band. The group consists of 12 members. There music has become critically acclaimed. 'Stupid' was one of the first tracks I had ever listen too and it's just a fantastic song, I love the pianos intro.

Best Lyric: "While they stuck on they day shift, I hate my boyfriend's fragrance // I'm a faggot, I say it, I scream that shit like I mean it"

There you have it the top 10 songs I recommend you give a listen.
