Get Into Latin Trap with Bad Bunny

Back in 2017, I noticed that Latin music had hit worldwide with artists like Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee collaborating with Justin Bieber with the Despacito Remix, which became the song of the summer that year.
I remember being in the club and as soon as that song would come on people would start attempting to sing the song, even though everyone English and didn't understand a word of the song people loved it.

This began a surge of Latin artists becoming worldwide superstars and this where 24-year-old Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known to the world as Bad Bunny would come into full force. In just over two years Bad Bunny has managed to conquer not just the world of Latin trap but worldwide popularity. Starting off in 2017 with his song Kripy Kush featuring Nicki Minaj & Travis Scott. That was the first time I had ever heard of Bad Bunny.

After a long time on the Latin charts, with a consecutive 15 songs on Billboard Latin Music he then pushed his stardom in a big way with his feature or Cardi B's ubiquitous summer jam 'I Like It'.

At just the beginning of his career, Bad Bunny releases his first album X 100PRE on Christmas Eve 2018, featuring big names like Drake and Diplo. A polished collection of trap, pop and rap. Beautifully produced with lyrics like no other, the changes between each song is seamless yet all very different from one another. From Dominican influenced track 'Mia' featuring a Spanish Drake to lowly sung 'Solo de Mi'. This was Bad Bunny's way of showing that he isn't a trap star in just one lane but can become a whole artist and not being boxed in one genre.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, the album shows just how much his city influenced his style and flow. He is one of a kind in his artistry and he knows it. Including his wild yet very cool sense of fashion.
